Day by day
- Day 01
Marrakech – Ouarzazate – Agdz – Draa Valley – Zagora
Pick-up from your hotel in Marrakech or directly from the airport to begin the route.
We will depart from Marrakech, heading towards Ouarzazate, passing through the Tiz’n’Tichka pass, which is over 2,200 meters above sea level.
We will enjoy breathtaking landscapes: lush green scenery on the way up and a near lunar landscape of the High Atlas with the desert in the background.
After descending, we will leave Ouarzazate and head to Agdz, crossing the Tizi N’Tinfift pass at 1,660 meters.
We will admire the rugged black and gray rocky mountains with spectacular views of the Draa Valley.
Then, we will delve into the majestic palm grove of the Draa Valley, the largest in Africa, with kasbahs, villages, and orchards.
We will take a track into the heart of the palm grove and arrive in Zagora, the endpoint of the caravans from Timbuktu.
Before sunset, we will head to the Berber tent camp. After a welcoming tea, we will witness an unforgettable sunset.
We will have dinner by the campfire and rest under a starry sky.

- Day 02
Zagora – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas – Marrakech
It’s worth waking up early to enjoy the sunrise.
After breakfast, we will visit the famous kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. “Kasbah” is an Arabic term meaning citadel or fortress. In Morocco, most kasbahs are made of adobe, and many are in ruins.
The kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou is an impressive village of clay and stone, surrounded by large walls, making it one of the most beautiful places in Morocco and a must-visit for any tourist wanting to explore the country.
This impressive structure is still inhabited by a few families. It is crowned by a rocky outcrop about one hundred meters high, where there are remnants of an old building and from which you can enjoy a magnificent landscape.
We will continue our journey towards Marrakech, having lunch on the way.
We will arrive in the Red City in the afternoon.
