Day by day

1. Day 01

   Casablanca (Airport) – Azemmour

   Arrival in Casablanca, where you’ll be greeted at the airport with a sign from our agency, Unique Morocco Experience, and transferred to your riad.

   Afterward, take a short trip to the picturesque town of Azemmour. The walls and fortifications around the medina have been incredibly well preserved, and the old town, perched on a cliff, overlooks the Oum er Rbia river and its estuary.

   A long sandy beach, El Haouzia, awaits you just north of the city.

   You’ll spend the night, with dinner, at a riad in the medina.

2. Day 02

   Azemmour – Oualidia Beach

   After breakfast at the riad, you’ll start a new day traveling south along the Atlantic coast.

   A must-see stop is El Jadida, formerly Mazagán, a fortified town built by the Portuguese in the early 16th century and now a UNESCO World Heritage site. It boasts incredible cisterns, sea-facing walls perfect for a scenic stroll, impressive gates, and a unique city layout. Even the newer part of the city is worth visiting for its ocean views and lively markets.

   We recommend taking the coastal road to Oualidia, as it is much more scenic and less crowded. For seafood lovers, there are plenty of spots along the coast to enjoy fresh seafood.

   You’ll spend the night, at a guesthouse.

3. Day 03

   Oualidia – Essaouira Beach

   After breakfast, continue driving along the coast, passing one beach after another.

   In Safi, an industrial port city, you can admire the ancient fortress built by the Portuguese. As you continue, the coast becomes steeper and more rugged.

   Stop at the Kasbah of Hamidouch, a citadel built in the 17th century at the mouth of the Tensift river by Moulay Ismaïl Ibn Sharif.

   You’ll arrive in Essaouira in the afternoon. Settle into your riad in the heart of the city’s medina.

   This cozy riad offers quality and service and is owned by a Franco-Moroccan couple who will warmly welcome you and provide helpful tips for your stay in Essaouira.

4. Day 04

   Essaouira

   After the breakfast enjoy a full day in Essaouira.

   Essaouira, known by numerous nicknames such as “The Pearl of the Atlantic,” “The Sleeping Beauty,” and “Beautifully Laid Out” (from the Arabic Souirah), is a UNESCO World Heritage city that retains the charm and authenticity of a place frozen in time. This city marks the end of the Mediterranean, with its last walled fortification on the Atlantic coasts, whose houses resemble the “white villages” of Andalusia.

   Essaouira has become an essential stop for any trip to Morocco. Adventurous explorers will be drawn to the friendliness and hospitality of the inhabitants of Essaouira, who have lived for centuries at a crossroads of cultures, civilizations, and religions. Here, the Phoenicians left their mark, and the city’s splendor dates back to their settlement, followed by the Romans, Carthaginians, Berbers, Portuguese, and French.

   You will be able to enjoy a lunch with delicious fresh fish and seafood, which arrives every morning at the city’s market.

   Overnight at the riad/hotel.

5. Day 05

   Essaouira – Casablanca

   After breakfast, head north to Casablanca, passing through Marrakech on the way.

   If you depart early, you’ll have time to stop and explore this beautiful pink city for a while. A highway connects Marrakech with Casablanca in just two and a half hours.

   Don’t miss the impressive Hassan II Mosque on the coast.

   Settle into your hotel for the night.

6. Day 06

   Cassablanca (airport)

   After breakfast, depending on your flight’s departure time, you may have some free time for final visits and shopping.

   You will be transferred to the airport at the agreed time for your departure.
